Product Description:
Teonex® Q51 is a low haze, biaxially oriented PEN (polyethylene glycol naphthalate) film. The film has excellent properties such as very good mechanical strength, good physical properties, low moisture absorption, high dielectric strength and good heat and cold resistance. It is also resistant to common solvents.

Teijin Japan began research and development of PEN resins in 1964 and commercialised them under the trademark "Teonex®", expanding their use in industrial parts, food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and other fields.

Material Properties
Highly transparent
Heat resistance 30-50°C higher than PET, reaching 155°C in class F.
Better hydrolysis resistance and longer life than PET.
Better chemical resistance than PET and PC.
High dimensional stability
Hydrolysis resistance, dimensional stability, low oligomer extraction
Absorption of UV rays (~383nm) to protect the contents of containers.

Applications:
Motor and transformer insulation
Manufacture of laminates, tapes, rolls and die-cuts
High density data storage tapes, IC cards, FPC and automotive applications
Capacitors, electrical insulation, batteries and optical applications.
